Kelli Reilly is a filmmaker, writer, and artist based in Los Angeles. She holds a BFA in Film & Television from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

Good taste isn't choosing between glamour and the grotesque; it's loving both equally: the philosophy behind every project she makes and every collaboration she's part of. Her work is rooted in an experimental tradition and shaped by years of bringing that perspective into narrative features, documentaries, music videos, and commercial storytelling. She has a perfectly reasonable and healthy relationship with obsession and transmuting neuroses into stories and works of art.

 

No one grows up dreaming about paperwork, but somewhere along the way, Kelli discovered that understanding every part of the process made her a better artist, producer, and collaborator. Her background in documentary, field production, research, nonfiction storytelling, and an insatiable need to be in charge led her to found Quartermaster Creative, an independent production company that is home to original work and creative collaborations.

Alongside her producing career, Kelli continues to direct and write narrative and nonfiction work. Most recently, she produced the narrative and documentary projects Presenting: Dita Von Teese, Vivien & The Florist, SLICK, and I Got You. She is also the author of the forthcoming chapter, "The iPhone Face and the Evolution of Screen Makeup," in Screen Makeup: Style, Convention, Colour and Concealment (Edinburgh University Press), and writes film criticism and video essays for Look Behind the Look, a New York Times-recommended podcast.

She is a proud mother, an advocate for mental health, and an active member of NYWIFT, Women In Film, and The Archival Producers Alliance.
